Pat Avetta’s Strawberry Pie Recipe

Baked and cooled pie crust
Fresh whole strawberries, washed and hulled

Glaze

1 cup sugar
3 Tbsp cornstarch
1 cup water
½ package Rasberry Jell-o mix

Bring the sugar, cornstarch and water to boil over medium heat. Cook until clear and thick. Remove from heat and stir in jell-o mix.

Cover bottom of pie crust with fresh strawberries, filling in gaps with strawberry slices. Slowly drizzle glaze over strawberries. Chill uncovered until set – usually about 4 hours. Serve with whipped cream or Cool Whip if desired. Bon Apetit!
